Dr. Ambeau is licensed to practice psychology in Colorado and Louisiana and authorized to practice psychology across all PSYPACT participating states—currently 42—through her PSYPACT interjurisdictional passport.

In addition to her clinical and forensic work, Dr. Ambeau serves as an adjunct faculty member at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and Loyola University New Orleans. At the University of New Orleans, Dr. Ambeau pursued her passion for applied developmental psychology, earning both her master's degree and later her doctorate. During her graduate studies, her focus centered on the treatment and assessment of justice-involved individuals. She has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific journal articles and presented findings at clinical and forensic academic conferences. Her research has explored areas such as juvenile justice, the treatment of youthful offenders, and violence risk assessment, helping her develop a strong understanding of these areas.

Following the completion of her doctorate, Dr. Ambeau embarked on a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at a clinical, forensic, and neuropsychological corporation.
